Madison Academy got into the single digits with a &#8216;9,&#8217;\u00a0which usually is in the top one hundred and means a trip to Manassas.<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align:justify;\">Madison Academy had two teams this year who were both making their\u00a0attempts in this event. Team two got on the board first with a &#8217;61&#8217;, and\u00a0then team one went a bit high and broke their egg. Ridgeland HS from\u00a0Georgia returned to fly with HARA this year to hit a &#8217;23&#8217; on their first\u00a0attempt, but dropped to a &#8217;39&#8217; on the second try. Westlawn MS qualified\u00a0for third place with a &#8217;41&#8217;. All teams made numerous practice flights to\u00a0keep the sky busy, with one team scoring an unofficial &#8216;6&#8217; that didn&#8217;t\u00a0count. MA&#8217;s team two got their &#8216;9&#8217; on their second qual attempt.\u00a0All egg capsules had to be recovered on a 15&#8243; diameter parachute. The\u00a0target altitude this year was 750&#8242; but those flights that hit the 40-45\u00a0second duration window were rewarded with a zero time deduction.<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align:justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Results of 2011 TARC Regional Qualification Launches<a href=\"http:\/\/hararocketry.org\/hara\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/hsv_tarc11_scores.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-23 aligncenter\" title=\"HSV_TARC11_scores\" src=\"http:\/\/hararocketry.org\/hara\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/03\/hsv_tarc11_scores.png?w=300\" alt=\"Huntsville 2011 TARC Regional Results\" width=\"300\" height=\"208\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align:justify;\">Tanner HS attended and made one practice flight.<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align:justify;\">Plaques were awarded to the top three places. Over fifty people were on\u00a0hand to watch the launches in the best weather the regional event has\u00a0had since it began two years ago. Vince Huegele and Bill Cooke provided\u00a0the local officiating to qualify the flights as well as mentoring the\u00a0teams throughout the year.
