{"id":3862,"date":"2023-04-12T13:36:40","date_gmt":"2023-04-12T18:36:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hararocketry.org\/hara\/?p=3862"},"modified":"2023-04-12T13:36:40","modified_gmt":"2023-04-12T18:36:40","slug":"nine-alabama-tarc-teams-make-finals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/hararocketry.org\/hara\/nine-alabama-tarc-teams-make-finals\/","title":{"rendered":"Nine Alabama TARC Teams Make Finals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For several years the state has consistently delivering a half dozen teams to the TARC finals and this year had another good showing.\u00a0 These teams from Alabama scored in the top hundred ranking nationally and will compete for the 2023 championship at The Plains, Virginia as they vie for $100,000 in prizes and an all-expense paid trip to Paris for the International Finals.<\/p>\n<p>The schools and cities are:<\/p>\n<p>Bob Jones High School\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Madison<\/p>\n<p>Hackleburg High School\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Hackleburg<\/p>\n<p>Haleyville City Schools\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Haleyville<\/p>\n<p>Lawrence County High School\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Moulton<\/p>\n<p>St. John Paul II Catholic High School Team 1\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Huntsville<\/p>\n<p>St. John Paul II Catholic High School Team 2\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Huntsville<\/p>\n<p>Tharptown High School\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Russellville<\/p>\n<p>West Morgan High School\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Trinity<\/p>\n<p>Winfield City High School\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Winfield<\/p>\n<p>The Huntsville\/Madison area fielded eight TARC teams this season. HARA is particularly proud of the three teams &#8211; The Falcon Rocketeers and Noah\u2019s TARC (both from John Paul II Catholic High School) and the team from Bob Jones High School that scored well enough (20-30 points) to place among the top 100 teams in the country.<\/p>\n<p>HARA would like to salute the other Huntsville area teams for their efforts in building and flying this year:<\/p>\n<p>Girl Scouts of North Alabama (2 teams)<\/p>\n<p>St. John Paul II C.H.S.
