This <\/span><\/span><\/span>year <\/span><\/span><\/span>is the 23rd and biggest year in the history of the American Rocketry Challenge (ARC\/TARC). <\/span><\/span><\/span>According to the director at the close of registration there were<\/span><\/span><\/span> 1,006 <\/span><\/span><\/span>enrolled<\/span><\/span><\/span> teams, the largest number in the history of the program, well above the previous high of <\/span><\/span><\/span>last year\u2019s <\/span><\/span><\/span>922.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This is the<\/span><\/span><\/span> list of the <\/span><\/span><\/span>currently <\/span><\/span><\/span>registered <\/span><\/span><\/span>Alabama <\/span><\/span><\/span>teams.<\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Tharptown High School, Russellville 2 teams<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Russellville High School, Russellville 3 teams<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Tuscumbia City School, Tuscumbia <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Winfield City High School, Winfield <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Tharptown High School is the reigning ARC National Champion <\/span><\/span><\/span>and is back to defend its title<\/span><\/span><\/span>. The state team number is down two from last year but still has <\/span><\/span><\/span>32 total <\/span><\/span><\/span>teams from<\/span><\/span><\/span> 20 schools, 6 with multiple teams. The Huntsville area team number grew by one.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
