The next HARA meeting will be August 7th at 7:30PM in the NASA ERC Building. Club Vice President Woody Bevill will give a presentation on the US Army’s Patriot missile system. Woody operated a Patriot battery during the first gulf war shooting down several Iraqi Scud missiles. You might have heard of the Israeli’s “Iron Dome” recently in action shooting down Hamas rockets. If you’re a fan of scaling military rockets like I am, you’ll want to be here for this talk.

We will also have guest Kevin Riggs come talk to us about developing an installation at the Huntsville Depot museum, in their automotive display out back, for local groups who are into modeling, whether it’s planes, trains, automobiles, boats, rockets, or whatever. He has some ideas that he wants to share with the club on showing off some of models to the public, get recognition for our clubs, and help generate interest from area kids in our activities. Another good reason to come to the meeting. See you all there!
